Service Development Manager – Therapeutic Children’s Homes
Ashford, Kent | Excellent salary & progression opportunity
Ready to take your next step beyond Registered Manager?
We’re looking for an experienced and successful Registered Manager who is ready to broaden their experience and take on a more strategic role across a small group of therapeutic children’s homes in Ashford.
This is an opportunity for someone who has successfully managed a children’s home and is now ready to support other managers, influence standards across multiple homes and become involved in the development of a new home.
As Service Development Manager, you’ll work across the homes, supporting operational standards, developing managers and taking responsibility for the registration and opening of a new Ashford home.
Where could this lead?
For the right person, this role offers a genuine pathway towards Responsible Individual (RI) responsibility, with the potential to progress to leading a four-home Ashford cluster, subject to demonstrated readiness and development.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a strong track record as a Registered Manager in children’s residential care
- Understands what excellent practice looks like
- Is confident supporting and developing other managers
- Has strong knowledge of Ofsted, safeguarding and regulatory requirements
- Enjoys improving services and helping homes achieve their potential
- Is ready to move from managing one home to influencing several
This isn’t simply another Registered Manager role.
It’s an opportunity to use the experience you’ve already built, develop your leadership further and be part of shaping a growing group of therapeutic children’s homes.
If you’re ready for the next chapter in your career, I’d love to have a confidential conversation with you.
