Senior Care Practitioner

New Children's Home – Ashford, Kent

£31,000 + yearly bonus (DOE)

Start Monday are recruiting for a Senior Care Practitioner to join a brand-new children's home in Ashford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced children's residential care professional to take on a senior role, supporting the Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, leading shifts and helping to develop and support the staff team.

Most importantly, you will play a key role in supporting, nurturing and safeguarding the children and young people in your care.

The Role

• Act as shift lead and support the Deputy Manager with the running of the home.
• Provide high-quality emotional and physical support to children and young people.
• Lead and support the care team, helping to maintain high standards.
• Promote a safe, nurturing and positive environment.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures and individual care plans are followed.
• Work in line with Ofsted regulations and current children's social care legislation.
• Support the development and wellbeing of the children and young people.

About You

You will need:

• Strong experience within children's residential care.
• Good knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children's social care legislation.
• Previous experience in a senior or shift-leading capacity.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
• Strong communication, leadership and safeguarding skills.
• A positive, reliable and proactive approach.

Salary & Benefits

£31,000 + yearly bonus, depending on experience.

The salary includes a shift rota with two sleep-ins per week. Full details can be discussed during the application process.
