Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care

Location: Preston, Lancashire
Salary: £29,500 per year + sleeps
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (days, evenings, weekends plus  sleep-ins)

Start Monday is recruiting on behalf of  a privately run children’s residential care provider in Preston. We are seeking an experienced and a dedicated Team Leader to help provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing home for young people.

You’ll lead and motivate your team, ensuring high standards of care and positive outcomes for every child and young person.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support staff during shifts to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
• Build strong relationships with young people, colleagues, and external professionals.
• Maintain accurate records, care plans, and safeguarding standards.
• Support the management team with daily operations and deputise when required.

Requirements

• Experience in residential childcare (essential).
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards it).
• Confident leadership and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts including sleep-ins.
