CONTROLS ENGINEER – BMS HVAC
Bournemouth/Poole


The Company
A regarded FCU specialist within the HVAC sector, who undertake the design, manufacturer & support of fan coil & ventilation systems, are seeking a Controls Engineer to join their established team.

The position is based on the outskirts of Bournemouth/Poole, with 20% of your time visiting sites/other offices.
 
The Role
As part of a team, you will oversee and support the design & delivery of both hardware & software requirements, ensuring throughout the project from initial design through to completion, they meet project specifications.

This includes; 
  • Writing, understanding & interpreting wiring schematic drawings
  • Using CAD to produce installation guidelines
  • Participate in design discussions, produce specifications, etc – to support projects
  • Interpret contract specifications
  • Provide design technical guidance & post order site support
  • Ensure building regulations and legislation are adhered to ensure compliance
  • Produce project specific documentation (e.g. Description of Operation, Technical Submission, etc).
  • Responsible for attending client & site meetings as necessary, to ensure delivery of projects to client expectations
  • Install equipment for development/site work ensuring it is fit for purpose
  • Program controllers in accordance with the ISO procedures to meet standard requirements.
  • Assist engineers remotely or on site to ensure software and hardware is being understood and are within the capabilities of the engineers
  • Provide training for both clients and colleagues during the project and after the project completion to make sure the clients are fully capable of controlling the units.
  • Ensure accordance with Health and Safety, whilst adhering to ISO9001 & ISO14001
 
Your Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge/experienced in HVAC
  • Experience of Building Management Systems - BMS Controls
  • Time served/qualified in building services
  • Organised with attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Team player
  • Customer focused
  • Knowledge of controls (Delta, Honeywell, etc)
 
Remuneration
Salary is negotiable and based on your level of BMS controls & HVAC knowledge/experience, with company pension scheme and associated benefits.
