Multi-Skilled Engineer

Biddenden, Kent | £45,000–£48,000 + Company Van + Private Use

Start Monday is recruiting for an established engineering business looking for a hands-on Multi-Skilled Engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience.

This is a varied role combining customer site visits with workshop-based repairs and machinery refurbishment, supporting clients across the butchery, hospitality, medical, packaging and processing industries.

The Role

• Service, repair and refurbish industrial and commercial machinery

• Mechanical fault finding, bearing and seal replacement, and gearbox repairs

• Electrical fault finding, reading electrical drawings and working with single and three-phase systems

• Safely isolate electrical equipment

• Split your time between customer sites and the Biddenden workshop

• Join a 1-in-5 on-call rota, with additional payments for call-outs and overnight stays

What We’re Looking For

• Previous engineering experience with both mechanical and electrical skills

• Practical fault-finding and repair abilities

• Full UK driving licence, ideally clean

• Apprentice-trained engineers welcome, but not essential

• Welding experience would be an advantage

The Package

• £45,000–£48,000 salary

• Company van with private use, fuel card and tools

• In-house training provided

• Company pension

• Monday to Friday, 7am–4pm

• Paid on-call retainer, plus additional call-out and overnight payments
