Catering Equipment Engineer

Are you an experienced Catering Engineer skilled in both gas and electrical catering equipment?

Join a growing team as a Commercial Catering Engineer and play a key role in servicing, maintaining, and installing a wide range of commercial catering equipment.

You'll be crucial in ensuring minimal downtime for our clients.


About the Company

Our client is a family-run business based in Blaydon-on-Tyne, serving clients across the Northeast. Specialising in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial catering and laundry equipment, they work with a diverse client base including local businesses, corporate clients, hotels, restaurants and is an NHS-approved contractor.


What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a dedicated Catering Equipment Engineer with the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience as an Electrical Catering Engineer, Warewash Engineer, or Laundry Engineer.
  • Expertise in fault-finding, repairing, and maintaining various appliances, including combi ovens, fryers, grills, and hot holding units.
  • Desirable: COMCAT 1-5, LPG, F-Gas, and electrical qualifications, though additional training will be provided.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of major brands such as Rational, Blue Seal, Hobart, Lincat, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A full UK driving license.

Salary & Benefits Package

  • Competitive salary: £39k – £43k+ depending on experience (paid door-to-door).
  • Standard hours: Monday to Friday (40-hour week), with weekends off unless overtime is desired.
  • Comprehensive benefits:

    • 30 days holiday (including Bank Holidays).
